Lee Kraus

Dr. W. Lee Kraus is the Director of the Cecil H. and Ida Green Center for Reproductive Biology Sciences at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is also Professor and Vice Chair for Basic Sciences in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Professor of Pharmacology. Dr. Kraus received a B.S degree in 1989 from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, followed by a Ph.D. degree in 1994 from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. After postdoctoral work at University of California, San Diego, Dr. Kraus joined the faculty at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY from 1999 to 2010. Since July 2010, he has been at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he holds the Cecil H. and Ida Green Distinguished Chair in Reproductive Biology Sciences. Dr. Kraus’s research interests are in the biochemistry, molecular biology, and physiology of signal-regulated gene expression, especially related to the estrogen and nuclear NAD+-signaling pathways.
